The pandemic has affected my food cart business but not totally in a bad way. In fact, new opportunities opened for us — as we made more money when we focused on food delivery services.

The HandPlus® brand makes vinyl gloves using pure PVC polymers, which are ideal for food handling. They are available in large sizes and in white color. I love this brand because the gloves are powder-free, which is very important as we are preparing food. We don’t want our customers consuming glove powder.

How many gloves are in one box of HandPlus®?

There are 100 pieces of gloves in one HandPlus® box. Since I work with three other people, one box only lasts us a couple of weeks, so I order three boxes a month. Sometimes, I buy extra just in case my husband comes to help us when the number of orders surges.

What other protective equipment materials does Restaurant Smart offer?

Aside from gloves, we also order face masks and face shields from them. These items are very important, as we make sure that we prepare our food in the safest and cleanest way possible.

We order the 3-ply face masks with elastic earloops because they are comfortable to wear and fluid resistant. As for the face shields, we get the ones with a glasses frame because they are anti-fog and very comfortable.

Restaurant Smart also sells hand sanitizers. Although I personally prefer washing my hands with soap and water, I still buy bottles of hand sanitizer for my staff.
