Genshin Impact – The Best Video Game of 2021 for Anime Fans

Genshin Impact

There are two things I absolutely love in this world: (1) anime and (2) video games. That’s when I saw this game called Genshin Impact in Reddit forums being recommended to anime fans; I instantly decided to check it out. And lo and behold, it was one of the most graphically pleasing games I’ve seen online. And why, do you ask me? It is because of its anime-inspired visual graphics that certainly pulled me to try and install the game on my gaming PC.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action RPG open-world game from Mihoyo. Last September, the game was released for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS mobile devices. And currently, Genshin Impact is one of the highest-grossing mobile games.

The game introduces twin characters, Lumine and Aether. They travel from world to world until they are separated by a goddess they encounter in the world of Teyvat. At the start of the game, the player can choose whether to play as Aether, the male twin, or Lumine, the female twin. After being separated, the character you select will wake up after years of slumber and meet a mysterious floating being called Paimon.

After a series of tutorials, you will start your journey of traveling through Teyvat with the hopes of finding your twin. But Genshin Impact is more than just your average open-world RPG game. It is also a Gacha game wherein you can get several playable characters and create your own party to fight enemies and dungeons. Each playable character is gifted with their own Vision, enabling them to use a particular element.

These Vision or Elements include Cryo/Ice, Anemo/Wind, Hydro/Water, Pyro/Fire, Electro/Electricity, and Geo/Earth. Another element that isn’t still introduced to any playable characters in the game is Dendro/Nature.

Each playable character has their own abilities, or called Talents. You can further improve the damage of each of your characters by leveling them up, as well as enhancing their artifacts (similar to runes), weapons, and Talents.

Last but not least, Genshin Impact has a fascinating universe thanks to its compelling storytelling that makes players interested in each character they meet in the game. In fact, even NPCs in the game tell stories about themselves. Not only that, but it will also feature the best cinematics in each story quest you take. So if you want to try out the game, then I definitely recommend it!
