I collect little vintage toys, particularly ones from McDonald’s Happy Meals. I don’t plan to collect them all, just the ones from my favorite 90s toys and movies like Cabbage Patch Kids and 101 Dalmatians. I have about 200 in my collection right now, and they are all just hanging out in an old plastic box along with my other toys. Because I’ve got a lot of time in my hands at the moment, I decided to display them all up.

I needed a sturdy shelf for them that I can easily mount up the wall in the basement. Because I’m too scared (or just lazy) to go out, I resorted to shopping online for these shelves. I remembered my friend mentioning Nile Corp, which sells displays. Although this online shop mainly sells different types of jewelry display, they also have houseware items like storage boxes and display shelves.

The House-Shaped Wooden Shadow Cubby Box Display Shelves were perfect! It was just like giving these little dolls a home of their own. I got the set with two different colors — oak and brown. They look and feel sturdy enough to hold my toys.
As for the dalmatians, I got them the Wall-Mounted Freestanding Wooden 5-Shelf Rack. This one, however, only came in one color, natural wood. I wish they’d make these racks in other colors too since I need more than one.

If you are a small-time collector like me, I recommend these display shelves. They can carry the standard-sized miniatures, figurines, and collectibles. You can check them out at NileCorp.com.
