The coronavirus affected our restaurant business. Good thing, my husband immediately took action, and we offered other services that we never thought we’d offer. We sold uncooked meals in packs and made curbside pick-up services available.
Even if the sales were not as high as before, our restaurant was thriving. One thing we made sure is that we were wearing protective gear when preparing food for customers. I think these measures somehow made our customers trust us more. That is why we always let them know that we value cleanliness in our restaurant.
Unfortunately, a month into quarantine, one of our ovens broke down —good thing we can now buy these things online. So after a quick search on Google, we came across a restaurant supply store called Restaurant Smart, and they have the gas range in the size we need.
We also discovered that they sell protective equipment! So along with the gas range, we also ordered anti-fog face shields, face masks, and disinfectant cleaner in gallons. We also bought an infrared thermometer to check the staff’s temp every day to ensure that everyone’s safe to work.
Because people can see that we are wearing protective equipment, we have been receiving good reviews on our Yelp page and social media accounts. So if you are a restaurant owner currently struggling to keep the business afloat, I suggest that you show customers that you value their safety.
So yeah, if you need protective equipment and supplies for your restaurant, my husband and I highly recommend Restaurant Smart. They have disposable ware for take-outs and as well as large kitchen equipment like gas ranges and big freezers.
